EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, has invested in a state-of-the-art CNC machine to further enhance its manufacturing processes. The particular model that EDM has purchased is the Quickturn Nexus 250-II MSY made by Mazak. It is being utilized alongside the existing high performance tooling equipment already in operation at the company’s manufacturing facility in Manchester. The new machine will enable the company to design and manufacture components of any complexity for use in its market-leading training simulators for airline and defence clients. EDM expects significant long-term productivity and cost efficiencies to result from the purchase of the machine.
