Pentagon 2000 Software enhances Kardex Remstar automated warehouse interface

Pentagon 2000 Software has released an expanded set of functionality for its Kardex Remstar automated warehouse interface module. As businesses work to reduce operational costs through automation and maximize the use of available floorspace in their facilities, the Kardex Remstar vertical carousel system has become a valuable part of automated warehouse operations. The Pentagon 2000SQL Kardex Remstar interface module allows seamless operations so customers can quickly achieve a return on their investments and improve supply chain efficiencies through warehouse automation. The new Pentagon 2000SQL functional support for FastPic software allows picking instructions to be sent to the FastPic database when Pick Tickets, Purchase Shippers or Claims are processed within the Pentagon system. A two-way integration also includes validation from the FastPick database to the Pentagon system with a transaction timestamp for the actual picking activity. Further, receiving instructions are sent from Pentagon 2000SQL when Receivers, Sales Receivers or RMA’s are processed within the Pentagon system. Cancellations are sent from Pentagon 2000SQL to the FastPic database in the event that a Pick Ticket or Receiver is voided. This expanded functionality will allow Pentagon 2000 Software customers that utilize the Kardex Remstar system to expand their warehouse automation and streamline supply chain operations to improve customer service and bottom line financial performance.
