Pratt & Whitney's PurePower Geared Turbofan engine to power Delta Air Lines' C Series order

Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower Geared Turbofan engine will power Bombardier’s largest C Series aircraft order based on an agreement signed by Delta Air Lines for 125 aircraft. The order consists of 75 firm aircraft with options for up to 50 more as well as a 15-year services agreement. Pratt & Whitney’s PurePower Geared Turbofan engine is the sole-source engine provider for Bombardier’s C Series aircraft. The PurePower engine family has completed more than 58,000 cycles and 35,000 hours of testing.
