SkyWorks reports first quarter 2016 asset management transactions

SkyWorks announced asset management transactions and activities performed during the first quarter 2016. Provided through SkyWorks Leasing, the transactions involved 20 aircraft and two engines and included the following: on behalf of Scandinavian Airlines System (“SAS”), SkyWorks arranged the sale of two JT8D-217C engines to Delta Air Lines. These deliveries marked the last sales in a transaction commenced in 2012 and where 23 MD80s and 10 spare engines have been sold and delivered by SAS to Delta. In another transaction arranged by SkyWorks, Delta acquired four MD90-30 aircraft previously on lease from SAS. On behalf of a US-based investor, SkyWorks arranged the sale of a B757 aircraft to an undisclosed operator. For another US –based investor and longstanding portfolio client, SkyWorks arranged the sale of 15 ERJ135s previously operated by ExpressJet Airlines. In addition, SkyWorks marketed a portfolio of nine aircraft (B757, B737NGs and A319s on lease to United Airlines and American Airlines) and executed a Letter of Intent with a single buyer for all aircraft. The sale is expected to close in the second quarter of 2016.
