ST Aerospace and Guangzhou Airport Authority, celebrated 50 aircraft redeliveries from its Guangzhou airframe maintenance facility, to AirAsia. The first aircraft was inducted into ST Aerospace’s Guangzhou-based hangar in January 2015, for C-level checks. This was followed by a steady stream of AirAsia’s A320 through the one and a half years, with the 50th aircraft redelivered to AirAsia’s revenue fleet on June 2. At the same time, ST Aerospace (Guangzhou) Aviation Services signed a Memorandum of Agreement with AirAsia at the redelivery event, to provide base maintenance for AirAsia’s fleet of 22 Airbus A320 aircraft for the second half of 2016, with plans for more support into 2017, and line maintenance in Guangdong, as AirAsia expands its route in Guangzhou and Guangdong province.
