Triumph workers in Spokane return to work

Triumph Group reported that its workforce in Spokane, Wash., returned to work following ratification of a new contract with members of the Local IAM (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) District 751. The four-year collective bargaining agreement covers approximately 400 production workers at the company’s Precision Components composites facility in Spokane. This is the first time since 2007 that the workers are being covered under a four-year contract vs. a three-year one. Negotiations on the new contract began on April 20. IAM-represented workers in Spokane had been on strike since May 11. The new contract was ratified with 82% of the vote on June 22 and employees returned to work on June 27.
