TUI Group finalizes order for 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft powered by LEAP-1B engines

TUI Group finalized an order for 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1B engine. The engine order is valued at US$200m at list price. The LEAP-1B engine flew for the first time on the Boeing 737 MAX on January 29, 2016. Since then, three more aircraft have been added to the test program and, to date, these three airplanes have logged a combined total of more than 300 test flights, including completing high altitude flight testing in La Paz, Bolivia.
