Airlift Group has received a three-month extension on its contract with Military Sealift Command (MSC) to provide Vertical Replenishment (VERTREP) services in the Indian Ocean and Western Pacific. The three-month period of performance is valued at approximately US$3.9m. Under the extension agreement, AAR Airlift will keep its existing four helicopters, personnel and logistics systems in place to fill an impending gap in MSC commercial VERTREP Service. AAR Airlift’s detachments support the U.S. Navy’s 5th and 7th Fleets by providing ship-to-shore replenishment, deep offshore underway replenishment, search and rescue (SAR), passenger transport, and other airlift support services. AAR is responding on short notice to the requirement to ensure uninterrupted service to the Navy.
