STS Component Solutions, a division of STS Aviation Group, acquires an LM2500 Aeroderivative Gas Turbine engine. This is the company’s first LM2500 series engine purchase and further broadens STS’ LM support capabilities. The General Electric LM2500 is a turboshaft gas turbine derived from the CF6-50 aircraft engine turbofan. It has additions and modifications designed to make it more suitable for marine propulsion, industrial power generation and marine power generation use.
