MTU Maintenance and Spanish airline Air Europa have signed an exclusive seven year contract for the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of the airline’s CF34-10E engines. The contract between MTU Maintenance and Majorca-based Air Europa includes shop visits, on-site services and lease support as part of a customized solution tailored specifically to the airlines’ needs. The contract is valued at approximately USD 120 million and covers the 24 engines, including spares, used on the airline’s 11 E195 aircraft. The activities will be carried out by MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg, the MTU Maintenance division’s specialists for the CF34 family.
