Mobil Jet Oil 387 approved for use in all models of UTC IDG models

ExxonMobil’s Mobil Jet Oil 387 has been officially approved in Integrated Drive Generators (IDGs) produced by UTC Aerospace Systems. This accessory is used to supply constant frequency AC electrical power to an aircraft. After reviewing the performance over 2 years, results from the service evaluations revealed that Mobil Jet Oil 387 can provide outstanding component protection and oxidative stability even under the stressful high-temperature conditions – which are common with IDGs. This accessory can be found in many commercial and military aircraft applications, so, now airlines have an opportunity to use Mobil Jet Oil 387 in both their engines and IDGs mounted on accessory gearboxes.
