United names new leaders to finance organization

United Airlines announced three new appointments in the finance division as the company focuses on aligning its organization across all areas of the business. Julie Yates Stewart will join United on January 3., as managing director of investor relations where she will be responsible for overseeing the communication of United’s financial results, while managing relationships with United’s investors, analysts and credit rating agencies. To create additional alignment with its commercial and operations teams, the company has established two new chief financial officer roles. As vice president and chief financial officer – commercial, Jonathan Ireland will work closely with the airline’s commercial and IT teams to provide financial planning and analytical support. As vice president and chief financial officer – operations, Tom Doxey will support all of the various operational teams to provide analytical and financial support with a focus on achieving important operational and financial goals.
