U.S.-based Cathay Pacific cabin crew join flight attendant union

U.S.-based Cathay Pacific Airlines flight attendants joined the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA). In a union representation election that concluded January 26., the National Mediation Board (NMB) announced that 97% of the voters elected AFA as their collective bargaining representative. Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific operates multiple cabin crew units in the U.S., Canada, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok. The company employs approximately 450 cabin crew in the U.S. with bases at SFO, LAX and JFK.
