On Jun 2nd, China Southern Airlines (CSA) B-6016, the first A380 with 6-Year check, was redelivered for service with a bright new look of the cabin and airframe after heavy maintenance and repainting, also symbolizing GAMECO’s milestone of the first A380 6-Year Check in China. In 2011, CSA has started introducing A380 to its fleet. After 6-year’s operation, CSA’s five A380s will successively move forward to full-scale “physical check”. On Mar 1st 2017, the first domestic A380 3C check (6-year check) began in GAMECO Hangar. After 75-day’s heavy check and 19-day’s repainting, the aircraft was redelivered on Jun 2nd 2017. The 6-year check covers a wide scope of tasks, including more than 1250 job cards and over 120 EO MOD with 90 mechanics working on the aircraft every day on average, even up to 140 mechanics for peak hours. Aircraft parts on the upper floor and lower floor of the cabin were all removed for refurbishment, including 18 galleys, 14 lavatories, 506 seats, thousands of accessories being painted, polished or replaced. The whole cabin is now ready to greet passengers in a new look.
