CFM Internatinal has signed multiple engine and support contracts at the International Paris Air Show:
Arkia Israeli Airlines (Arkia) has signed a long-term Rate Per Flight Hour agreement with CFM International to support is fleet of advanced LEAP-1A engines that will power four Airbus A321neo. The engine order was announced in April 2017; the aircraft order was announced in July 2012. Under the terms of the 15-year agreement, valued at US$200m at list price, CFM will guarantee the maintenance costs of the LEAP-1A engines on a dollar per flight hour basis.
Delta Air Lines has ordered CFM International CFM56-5B engines to power 10 additional A321ceo aircraft announced June 20, 2017. These A321s will join more than 200 CFM-powered A319/A320/A321 aircraft Delta currently operates. The airline is using the higher-capacity aircraft to gradually replace less-efficient domestic aircraft that will be retired from its fleet.
Turkish Airlines has concluded a 15-year Rate Per Flight Hour (RPFH) maintenance agreement with CFM International to support the LEAP-1B engines that will power the airline’ new fleet of 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft scheduled for delivery between 2018 and 2023. The agreement covers a total of 150 engines.
K5 Aviation GmbH of Germany finalized an order with CFM International for the advanced LEAP-1A engine to power the new Airbus ACJ319neo aircraft ordered in 2015 and scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2019. The engine order is valued at US$29m at list price. K5 Aviation was the launch customer for the ACJ319neo. The company already manages three ACJ319s powered by CFM56-5B engines that are offered for VVIP charter. CFM News Release:  K5 Aviation selects CFM LEAP-1A to power ACJ319neo aircraft.
China Eastern Airlines has placed an order for CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power 70 new Airbus A320neo aircraft. The order is valued at US$3.2bn, including a long-term support agreement, and the airline is scheduled to begin taking delivery in 2018. The aircraft order was announced February 2014. China Eastern has signed a 15-year Rate per Flight Hour (RPFH) maintenance agreement with CFM. Under the terms of the agreement, CFM will guarantee maintenance costs on a dollar per engine flight hour basis.
Air Lease Corporation has selected CFM International’s advanced LEAP-1A engine to power 25 additional Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The engines are for option aircraft previously announced and are scheduled for delivery between 2019 and 2022.
Royal Air Maroc has selected a five-year, TrueChoice Overhaul agreement for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the CF34-10E engines powering its four EMBRAER E190 aircraft. With this agreement, GE Aviation will be the service provider for all of Royal Air Maroc’s GE engines. In addition to the CF34-powered E190s, Royal Air Maroc operates 37 CFM56-powered Boeing 737s, four CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 767s and one CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 747. In December, the airline received its fifth GEnx-powered Boing 787 Dreamliner. Beyond engine and service support, GE Aviation and Royal Air Maroc are working together to advance the airline’s innovation and digital strategies.
