Boeing and Tokyo-based Japan Investment Adviser (JIA) have finalized an order for 10 Boeing 737 MAX 8s airplanes, valued at US$1.12bn at current list prices. The order was previously announced as a commitment at the 2017 Paris Air Show in June. The new 737 MAX 8s are the first directly purchased airplanes for JIA and will help bolster the lessor’s growing fleet of next-generation aircraft. JIA is an innovative Financial Solutions Provider, and is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Its Group activities include operating a lease business that manages a fleet of around 60 aircraft worldwide through its operating lease arm, JP Lease Products & Services (JLPS). The current managed fleet includes Next Generation Boeing 737s as well as Boeing 777s.
