Avolon posts third quarter 2017 business update

Avolon, the international aircraft leasing company, issued an update for the third quarter of 2017. Following another active quarter, Avolon’s owned, managed and committed fleet at the end of the third quarter was 915 aircraft. At the end of the third quarter Avolon owned and managed a fleet of 567 aircraft, with total orders and commitments for 348 new technology aircraft. Avolon delivered a total of 10 aircraft, including 6 transitions, and sold 11 aircraft including 9 managed aircraft. The company completed a total of 22 lease transactions in the quarter comprising new aircraft leases, second leases and lease extensions. Avolon signed lease contracts with Azul Airlines for five Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, with delivery scheduled from 2018 onwards.
