Honeywell International has signed a new agreement with Aerotechnic (Aerotechnic) to provide full avionics and mechanical spares support and retrofit, modification and upgrade solutions in Africa for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. With access to Honeywell International world-class avionics and mechanical solutions, Aerotechnic will provide airlines with improved local support, boosting efficiency with faster turnaround on maintenance that ultimately reduces flight delays and cancellations for passengers while saving costs for operators each year. With this agreement, Honeywell International will increase its investment in Africa, a high-growth region, while committing to support local operators through an authorized distributor. Equipped to provide Honeywell International technologies like flight management systems for precise navigation and landing, Aerotechnic can help transform airline fleets at a lower cost, making aircraft safer while improving the bottom line for the airline. In addition, Aerotechnic will focus on supporting operators with upgrades to aircraft transponders such as Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) ahead of the 2020 deadline.
