Spatial, a leading provider of cabin crew training simulators, has been selected by WestJet to manufacture a B787 Door Trainer.
Spatial will design and build the Door Trainer at its high-tech manufacturing facility in the UAE before shipping and installing it at WestJet’s crew training centre in Calgary, Canada.
The state-of-the-art Door Trainer will enable the airline’s cabin crew to be fully trained in the safe operation of the B787 Dreamliner door. Emergency scenarios include door and handle jams, power assist failures, door indicator malfunctions and slide inflation failures. Spatial will also provide a Virtual Slide Trainer with the device.
