Aergo Capital (Aergo) has successfully handed over a DHC-8-400 aircraft with manufacturer serial number 4088 to Malta-based Luxwing. This marks the initial aircraft out of a pair slated for delivery to Luxwing within the current year.
Fred Browne, the CEO of Aergo, expressed his excitement, stating, “We are delighted to announce the delivery of a DHC-8-400 aircraft to Luxwing. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who played a role in finalising this agreement. Welcoming Luxwing into our lessee portfolio is a source of enthusiasm and we anticipate a prosperous and enduring partnership.”
Capt. Giuseppe Sapia, Luxwing's CEO, added his perspective, stating, “The incorporation of these two Dash 8-Q400 aircraft into our fleet signifies Luxwing's expansion beyond executive aircraft, which has been our mainstay thus far. This evolution positions us as a significant participant in the ‘charter on demand' and ACMI segments within the Mediterranean region.”
He further attributed this accomplishment to the collaboration with Aergo Capital, a staunch supporter of its venture. Capt. Giuseppe Sapia praised the Aergo Capital team for their consummate professionalism, pragmatic approach and solution-driven attitude throughout all project phases, from inception to the initial aircraft's handover.
The Luxwing CEO also emphasised the carrier's pride in partnering with the reliable entity that is Aergo Capital. He indicated it shared commitment to the forthcoming delivery of the second aircraft, slated to integrate into the fleet by September 2023. The anticipation of this addition heightens the carrier's service offering and its ability to meet its clients' needs.
