Czech Airlines Technics (CSAT), a subsidiary of Prague Airport, has achieved financial success for the first time since 2019. This positive outcome is attributed to the gradual restoration of operations across all sectors, increased service volume and optimal utilisation of available capacity. The EBITDA operating profit saw a year-on-year increase of 45 million crowns to 64 million, while the company reported a net profit of 41 million crowns, marking its first profit since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Petr Doberský, Chairman of the Czech Airlines Technics Board of Directors, expressed satisfaction with the company's performance. “I am pleased that after three challenging years, we managed to stabilise the company's economic performance and returned it in the black. Last year, we managed to complete 76 base maintenance job orders for our long-term clients and leasing companies, and we also made full use of our capacity of the landing gear overhauls unit. I believe that the positive trend will continue this year thanks to long-term agreements with our important partners. We expect further performance improvement to be propelled by the continued recruitment of aircraft mechanics and increasing sales volume of the Components and Spares division.”
CSAT's base maintenance services include mandatory inspections, complex repairs, modifications to aircraft systems and cabin interiors, as well as the replacement of engines, landing gear, and other spare parts. During the peak maintenance season from October to May, CSAT primarily serves long-term clients such as Transavia, Austrian Airlines, and Finnair. In 2023, the company completed a total of 76 base maintenance revisions on B737, B737 MAX, A320 Family, and A321neo aircraft for its customers. During the off-season, CSAT focuses on servicing orders from leasing companies.
Czech Airlines Technics specialises in aircraft repair and maintenance, as well as aircraft equipment services, including base maintenance, line maintenance, components maintenance, engineering, and landing gear maintenance.
