Emirates has revealed the initial cities on its network set to receive its latest B777 cabin interiors. The airline will introduce its refurbished Boeing 777s to Geneva, Tokyo Haneda and Brussels, offering passengers more opportunities to enjoy the airline's signature premium-economy and, for the first time, Emirates' next-generation business-class seats arranged in a new 1-2-1 configuration.
Commencing July 1, the initial Emirates Boeing 777 will undergo a comprehensive cabin interior renovation, with the entire process expected to take approximately two weeks before the aircraft re-enters service. Plans include refurbishing the first-class cabin, installing 38 new business-class seats in an updated 1-2-1 seating configuration, introducing 24 of the latest premium-economy seats and fitting 256 economy-class seats.
All business-class seats on the newly refurbished Boeing 777 prioritise personalised privacy and elevated comfort, converting into spacious flat beds measuring 20.7 inches wide, with a pitch of up to 44 inches. The staggered seating arrangement ensures aisle access for every seat, offering direct entry and exit for passengers. Each seat features a touchscreen controller for in-flight entertainment and seat adjustments, a personal 23-inch HD screen connected to the airline's ice entertainment system. Additionally, passengers benefit from a personal mini-bar, generous table space, ample storage for personal devices, charging outlets and more. The Boeing 777 business-class cabin will also incorporate a small bar area where passengers can conveniently access mid-flight snacks and refreshments.
In total, Emirates plans to refurbish 81 Boeing 777s as part of its extensive retrofit programme. Further destinations to receive the airline's latest products will be announced in the coming months. This initiative represents Emirates' commitment to investing over US$3 billion to enhance products and deliver an unparalleled customer experience in the aviation industry.
