Future Flight Global (FFG) and Archer Aviation (Archer) have announced a significant agreement focused on deploying electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) services in major global markets. As part of this agreement, FFG plans to purchase up to 116 of Archer’s Midnight aircraft, with the deal valued at up to US$580 million. This latest agreement increases Archer’s indicative order book to US$6 billion. The two companies are now in the process of formalising definitive agreements for the aircraft purchases and a strategic operating alliance, with nearly US$5 million in pre-delivery payments expected once these agreements are finalised.
Archer’s Midnight eVTOL aircraft is designed to provide a sustainable, low-noise, and safe alternative to traditional ground transportation, aiming to revolutionise urban travel by transforming lengthy 60–90-minute car commutes in traffic into swift 10–20-minute electric air taxi flights.
FFG, established by members of the leadership team at Titan Aviation, including former CEO Karan Singh, has been in development for the past three years. Titan Aviation, with over two decades of experience in operating business jets globally, brings its expertise in serving top executive travellers to this new venture. FFG and Titan Aviation have a joint venture aimed at deploying and operating advanced air mobility assets worldwide.
Archer and FFG plan to introduce air taxi services in major global markets, including Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Initially, FFG will operate select routes within Archer’s planned air taxi network, utilising Archer’s existing vertiport infrastructure in partnership with companies like Signature and Atlantic Aviation. FFG will also collaborate with new vertiport partners to extend services to other high-demand locations. Additionally, FFG intends to deploy Midnight for on-demand transit services tailored to their most valued clients, including corporations, hotels, governments, and high-net-worth individuals.
To support these initiatives, Archer and FFG will collaborate on ecosystem development, infrastructure, regulatory engagement, and demand generation.
