Aircastle has announced the appointment of David Odlum as Chief Risk Officer, effective December 1. Odlum will oversee all risk management activities within the company and will be a key member of the leadership team. Based at Aircastle's Dublin office, he will report directly to CEO Michael Inglese.
Odlum joins Aircastle from SMBC Aviation Capital, where he served as Executive Vice President of Portfolio Risk Management. His previous role was Head of Risk at Goshawk Aviation, where he specialised in risk, strategy, and portfolio management. He holds an MSc in Finance from Imperial College London and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from Trinity College Dublin.
Mr. Inglese commented, “David brings a wealth of experience in risk management and portfolio strategy. He's had a distinguished career in aviation finance and his expertise in airline restructurings, risk frameworks, and strategic portfolio management will be crucial as we continue to evolve and address the complexities of our industry.”
Aircastle Limited is engaged in the acquisition, leasing, and sale of commercial jet aircraft to airlines worldwide. As of May 31, 2024, the company owned and managed 259 aircraft, leased to 77 airline customers across 44 countries through its joint ventures.
