Airbus Helicopters has delivered its first H175 helicopter to the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (GZP) Aviation Force. The new aircraft will be deployed for public service missions and emergency management, enhancing GZP's ability to respond to various scenarios.
The H175 joins GZP's existing fleet, which includes two H145 helicopters delivered in 2016 and 2019, having accumulated a total of 3,200 flight hours to date. The addition of the H175 is expected to boost the bureau's operational efficiency and capabilities.
“The H175, with its outstanding performance and capabilities, will enhance our efficiency and provide us with an essential tool to fulfil our diverse mission portfolio,” said Zhang Rui, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Public Security Bureau. “We look forward to continuing to work together with Airbus to jointly promote the development of the aviation industry in Guangzhou.”
In service since 2015, the Airbus H175 is a super medium-class helicopter, combining long-range and payload capacity with smooth flight qualities. It is designed for a range of onshore and offshore missions, including disaster relief, search and rescue, and public service operations, as well as crew changes and private aviation. To date, 65 H175 helicopters have been delivered worldwide, accumulating over 240,000 flight hours.
Currently, around 80 Airbus helicopters are used for public service missions in China, supporting the safety and protection of local communities.
