Delta Air Lines and Endeavor Air have entered into a ten-year partnership with AeroCore Technologies, naming the company as their exclusive engine foam wash provider. The agreement introduces AeroCore's globally patented Nucleated Foam Technology to restore engine performance, enhance fuel efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and save on maintenance time for the majority of Delta and Delta Connection's fleet.
AeroCore's innovative engine cleaning method offers immediate and lasting benefits. By lowering engine temperatures, restoring fuel economy, and reducing CO2 emissions, the foam wash delivers superior performance recovery compared to traditional water or detergent cleaning methods. This environmentally safe solution is non-invasive and engine-type agnostic, effectively cleaning the entire engine gas path without the need for disassembly or complex setup processes.
The foam wash service is performed planeside, at the gate, allowing for the cleaning of up to four engines simultaneously. It also ensures full capture of engine wash effluent, making the process not only efficient but also environmentally responsible. The entire service is completed in around one hour, greatly reducing aircraft downtime. This agreement marks a significant step in Delta's and Endeavor Air's commitment to improving engine performance while maintaining sustainability and operational efficiency across their fleets.
AeroCore Technologies holds over 20 international patents for its groundbreaking nucleated foam technology. These innovative solutions are revolutionising the aviation industry by enhancing asset availability and readiness, reducing life cycle costs, minimising maintenance hours per flight hour, lowering customers' carbon footprints and achieving peak engine performance.
Designed and manufactured in the USA, AeroCore employs a workforce composed of over 50% U.S. military veterans. AeroCore actively supports the U.S. military by performing thousands of aircraft engine and heat exchanger washes annually.
