ACIA Aero Leasing (ACIA), a provider of regional aircraft leasing and lease management services, has announced the sale and delivery of an ATR 72-500F (MSN736) to Canadian aerospace and defence company KF Aerospace. The aircraft is set to join KF's operational fleet by April 2025 under a renewed contract with Purolator to support air cargo transportation in British Columbia.
KF Aerospace, a key player in Canada's aviation industry, operates across multiple sectors, including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, aerospace engineering, air charter services, air cargo, aircraft leasing, and military aircrew training for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).
In November 2024, the company secured a ten-year contract renewal for the BC feeder network, which includes a fleet renewal of three cargo aircraft. KF Aerospace selected the ATR 72-500F to replace its ageing Convair 580s, for which it holds the type certificate.
Founded in 1970 as Kelowna Flightcraft by Barry Lapointe, KF Aerospace has grown into Canada's largest commercial MRO provider and a leader in aerospace innovation. The company is recognised for its skilled workforce and commitment to delivering cost-effective, timely and high-quality solutions. Serving corporate, commercial, and military clients worldwide, KF Aerospace works closely with major aircraft manufacturers and airlines, while also providing critical training and in-service support for the RCAF.
