Magnetic MRO, the Tallinn-based aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider and part of Magnetic Group, has marked a major milestone by completing its 900th base maintenance check delivered for SAS Scandinavian Airlines. The achievement highlights the company's continued growth and long-standing partnership with SAS, a relationship that has been thriving since 2003.
This landmark check involved a comprehensive six-year base maintenance inspection on an aircraft from the A320neo family — a modern fleet type poised to be a mainstay in European single-aisle commercial aviation for years to come. The A320neo's involvement further underscores Magnetic MRO's adaptability and technical capability in servicing new-generation aircraft.
Sergei Shkolnik, Base Maintenance Director at Magnetic MRO, noted the accelerating pace of operations, highlighting that while the first 300 checks took 11 years to complete, the next 300 were achieved in just six years, and the leap from 600 to 900 took only four and a half years. This not only reflects the increasing demand for their services but also the efficiency and scale that Magnetic MRO has developed.
The collaboration with SAS has yielded hundreds of successful maintenance checks over the decades, including the notable 800th check completed in 2023. This enduring relationship stands as a testament to Magnetic MRO's reliability, professionalism and commitment to delivering high-quality services to its clients.
With its 900th check now completed, Magnetic MRO continues to position itself as a trusted leader in aircraft maintenance within Europe and beyond, ready to meet the evolving demands of modern aviation.
