AMETEK MRO Antavia (Antavia) has announced a global contract extension with De Havilland Canada (DHC) for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of landing gear systems on the CL215, CL215T and CL415 aircraft. This agreement marks the continuation of a long-standing collaboration, further cementing Antavia's role as a trusted support provider for DHC's iconic fleet of waterbombers.
The partnership originally began in 2003 with the Bombardier Aircraft Amphibious Division, and was formally reinforced in 2017 through a factory-endorsed component centre agreement with Viking Aircraft. Over more than two decades, Antavia's experienced and dedicated workforce has successfully developed a robust and highly efficient MRO programme tailored specifically to the needs of these specialist aircraft.
To date, Antavia has processed and returned over 2,500 landing gear components for waterbombers in service across four continents, nine countries and seven Canadian provinces. This global reach reflects the reliability and expertise of Antavia's operations in supporting critical firefighting aircraft.
In order to further enhance the programme's effectiveness, Antavia has invested over €10 million in spare parts and continues to expand its stock of components. This strategic investment significantly reduces turnaround times, ensuring faster and more efficient service for operators worldwide.
This contract extension underscores AMETEK MRO Antavia's commitment to supporting legacy aircraft and specialised missions, while delivering high standards of technical performance, customer service and operational readiness in a demanding and essential segment of the aviation industry.
