Swiss AviationSoftware (Swiss-AS) has announced the successful go-live of AMOSeTL, its fully integrated Electronic Tech Log solution within the AMOS system, at SunExpress. The achievement follows an intensive two-year collaboration, with SunExpress serving as both the launch customer and a strategic development partner. This partnership played a pivotal role in shaping the solution to meet real-world operational demands.
Since the start of AMOSeTL's development in 2022, SunExpress has provided continuous input through workshops, demonstrations and feedback sessions. Their contributions were key to the refinement and user-friendliness of the product. The project followed a phased implementation, beginning with a “parallel run” in April 2024 and moving to full fleet deployment in June. This included a staged iPad rollout and extensive testing carried out by pilots, engineers, and the AMOS Competence Centre.
A significant milestone in the process was securing regulatory approval from the local aviation authority, facilitated by the creation of detailed documentation and support materials. By January 2025, SunExpress began transitioning away from traditional paper-based tech logs. The Boeing 737-8 fleet led the way, and within three months the entire SunExpress fleet had adopted AMOSeTL.
The new setup, integrated with AMOSmobile/EXEC, supports both pilot and maintenance operations, enabling real-time collaboration and end-to-end digitalisation. Pilots can now record and monitor aircraft status directly from their devices, while engineers receive instant updates and can respond immediately. This successful deployment marks a significant step forward in SunExpress's digital transformation and commitment to operational excellence.
