Aircraft Leasing & Management (ALM), a fully owned subsidiary of Japanese firm Fuyo General Lease (Fuyo), has successfully arranged the lease of two Boeing 737-800 next-generation aircraft to Garuda Indonesia Airways, the national flag carrier of Indonesia.
The aircraft involved in the transaction, registered as PK-GUH (MSN 44217) and PK-GUI (MSN 44218), were previously operated by Regional Express. They have now been officially transitioned to Garuda's fleet in Jakarta. ALM will continue to act as the transaction arranger and serve as lease manager throughout the duration of the agreement.
Harry Kemp, VP Marketing at ALM, said: “We are delighted to place these B737-800NG aircraft on lease to Garuda, and deepen Fuyo's relationship with Indonesia's flag carrier. This transaction also highlights ALM's ability to successfully market and manage the transition of used aircraft.”
Rahmat Hanafi, Director of Maintenance at Garuda Indonesia, said: “We would like to thank ALM and Fuyo for their support in improving Garuda Indonesia's fleet by delivering two Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.”
This latest transaction reinforces ALM's growing reputation for managing the remarketing and lease transitions of narrow-body aircraft. The company oversees an expanding portfolio of Airbus A220, A320 and Boeing 737-family aircraft, on behalf of Fuyo and third-party investors.
