ITP Aero has entered into a five-year exclusive maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreement with Summit Helicopters, aimed at providing full support for PW206 and PW207 engines. Summit Helicopters, based in Salem, Virginia, is a well-established name in the helicopter maintenance sector and holds recognition as a Bell Customer Service Facility as well as an MD Helicopters Approved Service Center.
As part of the agreement, all MRO services will be performed at ITP Aero's advanced facility located in Albacete, Spain. The partnership reflects a joint commitment to offering high-quality engine support to operators relying on the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW200 engine family, widely used in light twin-engine helicopters.
Summit Helicopters' Global Business Director, John Milko, welcomed the agreement, highlighting the benefits to customers in terms of improved reliability, faster turnaround times, and cost efficiency. He stated that the partnership is focused on delivering tangible value, allowing operators to concentrate on safe and efficient flying without unnecessary maintenance-related disruptions.
Pablo Fuentes, Director of Small Commercial Engines MRO Programmes at ITP Aero, also praised the new alliance. He emphasised ITP Aero's dedication to strengthening its collaboration with Summit and to supporting the operational performance of its fleet. The partnership is expected to enhance fleet readiness and optimise long-term operational costs.
