GT Engine Services, part of STS Aviation Group, has appointed Chief Operating Officer Tracey Clark as its new Managing Director and Accountable Manager, following the retirement of long-serving leader Greg Macleod. Clark will formally take on both roles at the end of this week.
Macleod has been at the helm for more than 15 years, overseeing GT Engine Services’ transformation into a respected global provider of engine support. His leadership was particularly instrumental during the company’s acquisition by STS Aviation Group in May 2024, when he helped secure a smooth handover and set the stage for continued expansion.
Reflecting on his departure, Macleod said, “This is a bittersweet moment for me. I’m stepping away to pursue my dream of travelling the globe, but I’ll miss the fantastic team we’ve built here, and the many customers and suppliers who have become friends over the years. The integration with STS has gone very well, and with the support of H.I.G. Capital, the company is in a strong position to grow. The timing feels right, and I have full confidence in Tracey’s leadership moving forward.”
Clark has worked closely with Macleod during the firm’s recent growth phase, bringing extensive operational expertise to her new role. She expressed her appreciation for his guidance, stating, “I’ve had the privilege of working with Greg for many years, and I’m grateful for his mentorship and trust. We have a strong team in place, a growing global customer base, and a clear strategy to move the business forward. I’m excited to lead GT Engine Services into its next chapter.”
The leadership transition marks the start of a new era for GT Engine Services, as it aims to build on its established reputation and pursue fresh opportunities in the global aviation engine support market.
