LOT Polish Airlines has reported outstanding results for July 2025, carrying over 1.18 million passengers and covering a total of 15.5 million kilometres. This performance marks the best month in the 96-year history of the airline, following an already exceptional first half of the year. Both passenger numbers and aircraft flight hours reached historic highs, reflecting the carrier’s continued growth and operational efficiency.
Among European destinations, Vilnius, London, and Amsterdam proved the most popular, while long-haul flights to Toronto, New York (JFK), and Chicago saw the largest passenger volumes. LOT attributes these outstanding results largely to the consistent expansion of its connection network. In 2025 alone, the airline inaugurated flights from Kraków to Paris Orly and from Warsaw to Thessaloniki, Malta, Reykjavik, and Lisbon. Looking ahead to the autumn, additional services to Marrakesh and Rovaniemi are planned, with further routes expected to be announced by year-end.
Expanding the number of destinations has also strengthened LOT’s position as a preferred carrier in Central and Eastern Europe. This strategy increases the availability of transfer flights at Warsaw Chopin Airport, where nearly 60% of LOT passengers now travel as transit passengers. By growing its network, the airline not only meets rising demand but also enhances connectivity across the region.
The fleet expansion programme will further support these ambitions. At the end of 2025, the first of 13 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft ordered by LOT will arrive in Warsaw from the Boeing factory in Seattle. Alongside previously ordered Airbus A220 aircraft, these new planes will play a key role in delivering the airline’s 2024–2028 strategic plan, enabling continued network growth and enhanced service for passengers across both European and long-haul routes.
