Aergo Capital (Aergo) has announced the acquisition of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft from BBAM, further strengthening its narrow-body portfolio and building on recent fleet investment activity. The aircraft, bearing manufacturer serial numbers 42071 and 41148, are both on lease to Norwegian Air Shuttle.
The transaction follows closely on the back of Aergo’s Boeing 737-8 acquisition from Aircastle announced last week, underlining the lessor’s continued focus on high-demand, liquid aircraft types that support airline customers across a range of operating environments. Together, the transactions highlight Aergo’s disciplined growth strategy and commitment to expanding its fleet with in-demand assets placed with established operators.
Steve Zissis, President and Chief Executive Officer of BBAM, commented on the deal: “This sale reflects the strong relationship between our two companies. We appreciate Aergo’s professionalism and look forward to continued collaboration in the future.”
The Boeing 737-800 remains a cornerstone of the global narrow-body fleet, valued for its operational flexibility, fuel efficiency and broad market appeal. By acquiring aircraft already placed on lease, Aergo continues to prioritise assets with immediate income generation and long-term residual value potential.
Smith Gambrell & Russell, LLP acted as lead legal counsel to Aergo on the transaction, while PK Finance served as the sole lender. The acquisition further reinforces Aergo’s active presence in the secondary aircraft market and its ongoing partnerships with leading lessors, financiers and airline operators worldwide.
