ANA Holdings has approved an order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2 regional jets, expanding its fleet renewal programme and regional network strategy in Japan.

The aircraft, approved by the company’s board on July 29, are in addition to the 20 E190-E2s announced in February 2025, comprising 15 firm orders and five options. The latest order will support the expansion of ANA’s ACMI agreement for domestic flights.

The 100-seat E190-E2 is powered by new-generation engines and incorporates the latest technologies to reduce fuel burn, noise and operating costs. ANA said the aircraft will provide greater flexibility in matching capacity with demand on domestic routes over the medium to long term.

“This additional E190-E2 order accelerates our efforts to build a sustainable regional aviation network in Japan,” said ANA Holdings president and chief executive Koji Shibata. “We are excited to deepen our partnership, elevating regional connectivity and delivering a superior passenger experience across Japan.”
