Boeing has completed the final planned certification flight test for the 737-10, marking the end of a flight test campaign spanning 976 flights, more than 2,060 flight hours and around 1,040 ground test hours.
The programme validated key certification requirements, including landing gear performance, braking on wet runways, engine anti-ice systems and the enhanced angle of attack system. The final flight assessed cabin safety features, including the audibility of the lavatory smoke detector and cabin speaker system.
With flight testing now complete, Boeing will focus on final development assurance reviews, system safety assessments and submitting documentation to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The company is targeting certification of the 737-10 in 2026.
