Ramco Systems Canada Inc., has announced that long-standing customer Ornge has gone live with Ramco’s Digital Task Card with eSign-off and Mechanic Anywhere mobile application across all its maintenance bases.
The rollout moves Ornge’s maintenance operations from paper-based task cards to a mobile-enabled, paperless workflow covering its AW139 and PC-12 fleets.
Ramco’s eSign-off solution is designed to meet Transport Canada sign-off compliance requirements, allowing technicians to execute and digitally sign off maintenance tasks in real time. As part of the implementation, Ornge’s existing task cards were migrated to an eSign-off-ready format, while Work Summary Reports were introduced to support audit and regulatory compliance.
Through Mechanic Anywhere, technicians can access documentation, carry out maintenance tasks and complete digital sign-offs from wherever they are working. The system also gives Ornge’s maintenance and quality teams near-real-time visibility of work progress, sign-off status and task completion.
The move is expected to improve efficiency by reducing the delays associated with paper-based processes while supporting more consistent, standardised work-step execution and compliance.
Robert Zwanenburg, Technical Services Manager at Ornge, said the technology would support both the organisation’s paperless ambitions and efforts to improve maintenance turnaround times.
“Ramco’s Digital Task Card and Mechanic Anywhere app is well positioned to help us in our efforts to ensure timely maintenance turnaround times,” Zwanenburg said. “We are working as a team to ensure our front-line maintenance crews (AMEs) have the tools they need wherever they’re working.”
