RTX has appointed Jill Albertelli as President of Pratt & Whitney, effective January 1, 2027, succeeding Shane Eddy, who plans to retire, the aerospace company said.

Albertelli will report to RTX Chairman and CEO Chris Calio. She has more than 30 years of experience at Pratt & Whitney across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, commercial programmes, sales, maintenance and repair operations, transformation and strategy.

She currently leads Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines business, where she secured the company’s sole-source propulsion position for the F-35 fighter programme, improved F135 engine delivery and quality performance, and expanded sustainment capacity.

Eddy will remain with RTX through March 2027 as a special adviser to support the transition. He became President of Pratt & Whitney in 2022 after a more than 40-year career with the company, which began as a flight-line mechanic.

During his tenure, Eddy oversaw a multi-year transformation of Pratt & Whitney and production, and sustainment increases for the Geared Turbofan and F135 engine programmes.
