RECARO Aircraft Seating Polska has opened an expanded production and office facility in Świebodzin, Poland, following a double-digit million-euro investment that more than doubles the site’s footprint and raises annual production capacity to 100,000 passenger seats.
The expansion increases the facility’s total area from about 10,550 square metres to more than 22,000 square metres, while annual production capacity rises from 60,000 to 100,000 seats.
About 8,600 square metres of additional space has been added for production, logistics and cut2dress operations, bringing the combined area for those functions to around 18,000 square metres. The number of production lines will increase from four to eight to meet rising customer demand.
The new production layout is based on a linear product flow aimed at improving ergonomics and operational efficiency. Assembly and logistics areas have also been separated to improve workplace safety and material flow.
Warehouse operations are due to be further upgraded with dedicated storage areas and automated storage and picking technology, planned for implementation by the end of 2027.
The expansion also adds about 3,000 square metres of office space, more than doubling the site’s working area to almost 5,000 square metres.
The new facilities include open-plan offices, conference rooms, a canteen and employee areas designed to support collaboration and a modern working environment.
