French aerospace supplier Latecoere has been selected by Airbus Helicopters to supply additional cockpit control panels for the H175 helicopter as part of its new Full Icing Protection System (FIPS) configuration.
The contract strengthens the companies’ longstanding partnership and highlights Latecoere’s expertise in high-reliability cockpit equipment for safety-critical aerospace applications.
The H175 is a twin-engine super-medium helicopter designed for a range of missions, including offshore transport, search and rescue, public services and VIP transport.
The new FIPS configuration is designed to expand the helicopter’s operating capabilities in icing conditions, improving its ability to operate safely in challenging weather and support missions in cold-weather regions.
Latecoere’s cockpit control panels will support the management, monitoring and control of key aircraft functions. The equipment, which provides an interface between pilots and onboard systems, must meet stringent reliability, durability and certification requirements.
