Engine Alliance, a 50-50 joint venture between GE Aerospace and RTX’s Pratt & Whitney, has extended its maintenance agreement with CTS Engines (CTS) by two years to continue supporting the GP7200 engine.
Since the original agreement was signed in 2023, CTS has expanded its GP7200 capacity, dedicated tooling, repair capabilities and production infrastructure to meet customer demand.
The GP7200 powers the Airbus A380 and is known for its reliability and fuel efficiency. With A380s expected to remain in service for years to come, airlines require dependable engine maintenance and long-term fleet support. Engine Alliance has continued to strengthen its global repair network to support operators throughout the fleet’s service life.
CTS has also invested in its engine hub in Coral Springs, Florida, a facility designed to support large commercial engines. Combined with dedicated test infrastructure, in-house repair capabilities and an experienced engineering team, the investments position CTS to provide ongoing support as the global GP7200 fleet matures.
