Andrea Sorg took over as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Diehl Aviation on November 1, 2026, succeeding Dr Christoph Weigand.
The appointment provides continuity in the company’s financial leadership, with Sorg bringing more than 25 years of experience within the Diehl Group and extensive financial and management expertise.
Weigand will take on the roles of interim CFO and vice-speaker of the Executive Board at Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG from November.
Sorg joined Diehl in 2001 as a management trainee and has since held various financial and management positions across the group, including roles at Diehl Metering in Germany and France. In 2022, she moved to the group’s corporate headquarters to head Corporate Controlling.
During her career, Sorg has gained extensive experience in financial management, commercial operations and corporate controlling. Her knowledge of the Diehl Group, combined with her leadership and financial expertise, will support her new responsibilities as a member of the Diehl Aviation Division Board.
