Air France/KLM released that the board of Direktors met on March 10th and authorized the company to submit on March 14th, 2008 an offer for Alitalia subject to suspensive conditions including notably the commitment of the trade unions.
The integration of Alitalia into the Air France/KLM group will reinforce its position as a European leader and will also help Alitalia to regain its status as a national flag carrier.
