ST Engineering Commercial Aerospace has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Airbus Defence and Space to undertake a cabin modification programme for an Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport Plus (A330 MRTT+) aircraft in support of Airbus’s customer.
The A330 MRTT+ represents the A330neo-based evolution of the combat-proven A330 MRTT aerial refuelling and transport platform. Under the MoU, both companies have reached a preliminary agreement covering the provision of engineering design, certification, and aircraft modification services required for the cabin upgrade programme.
Kevin Chow, Head of Aerostructures and Systems at ST Engineering, described the project as the latest milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two companies. He noted that their collaboration already includes passenger-to-freighter conversion work through a joint venture in Germany. Chow added that ST Engineering will build on its proven track record in freighter conversions and apply its extensive expertise in integrated cabin interiors solutions to deliver a product tailored precisely to the operator’s specifications and mission needs, executed to the highest quality standards.
ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business supports customers worldwide through a global network of MRO facilities and partners. The company provides integrated lifecycle solutions for cabin interiors, spanning design and engineering, product development, cabin reconfiguration, and refurbishment.
