Deucalion has acquired an Airbus A320-200 on lease to Vueling Airlines, the Spanish low-cost carrier and a member of International Airlines Group (IAG). The lessor acted as arranger on behalf of an institutional investor and will continue to serve as lease servicer for the duration of the lease. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The aircraft was sourced through Deucalion’s global origination network and marks the 86th Airbus A320ceo managed by the company since 2004. The acquisition further diversifies Deucalion’s managed portfolio by airline, geography and aircraft type, while underscoring continued investor demand for current-generation narrow-body assets.
“We are pleased to welcome Vueling to our growing portfolio of airline counterparties and to support an established operator with a strong network position in one of Europe’s most dynamic short-haul markets,” said Nate Riggs, Chief Commercial Officer at Deucalion Aviation. “Demand for narrow-body aircraft remains resilient despite constrained OEM production, and transactions like this enable us to deploy capital into assets with strong long-term value backed by a high-quality operator.”
