Airbus has secured new aircraft commitments from Shohin Airlines and Philippine Airlines, adding to its order book with narrow-body and wide-body deals announced at the Farnborough International Airshow.
Tajikistan’s Shohin Airlines has disclosed an order for four A320neo-family aircraft, comprising two A320neos and two A321neos. The order, previously listed as undisclosed in Airbus’ June order book, marks the carrier’s first purchase from Airbus. Founded in 2025 and based in Dushanbe, Shohin Airlines plans to use the aircraft to launch services to regional and international destinations. The A320neos will be configured with 176 seats, while the larger A321neos will accommodate 196 passengers in a two-class layout.
Meanwhile, Philippine Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding for nine A350-1000 wide-body aircraft. Once finalised, the agreement will double the airline’s total A350-1000 order to 18 aircraft. The carrier has already taken delivery of its first two A350-1000s this year and plans to use the type to support long-haul network growth.
