Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) and Air Corsica have signed a new multi-year agreement to support the airline’s fleet of LEAP-1A engines. Covering nine engines that power Air Corsica’s Airbus A320neo aircraft, the agreement marks a significant milestone in a partnership spanning several decades.
AFI KLM E&M, which already provides CFM56-5B engine maintenance and component support for Air Corsica’s Airbus A320ceo and A320neo fleet, will now extend its services to the airline’s new-generation LEAP-1A engines. The agreement underlines Air Corsica’s continued confidence in AFI KLM E&M’s engine MRO expertise and strengthens the Group’s position in the rapidly growing LEAP engine support market.
By combining extensive operational expertise with high-quality maintenance solutions, AFI KLM E&M will help Air Corsica maximise engine reliability, fleet availability and operational performance throughout the agreement.
Martijn de Vries, Senior Vice-President Commercial at AFI KLM E&M, praises the extended partnership, saying the new LEAP-1A engine support agreement further strengthens the company’s long-standing relationship with Air Corsica. “For decades, AFI KLM E&M has been a trusted partner, supporting the reliability of our operations as our fleet has evolved. As we continue modernizing with the Airbus A320neo, extending our collaboration to include LEAP-1A engine support is a logical progression of that long-standing relationship. Having a partner that understands our operational requirements gives us confidence that we can continue delivering the high levels of reliability and service our passengers expect.”
Hervé Pierret, Member of the Management Board at Air Corsica, commented: “For decades, AFI KLM E&M has been a trusted partner, supporting the reliability of our operations as our fleet has evolved.
