AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has officially opened a new colour blending and distribution facility in Chonburi, Thailand, strengthening its support for commercial aviation operators, MRO providers, OEMs and industry partners across the Asia-Pacific region.
The opening ceremony took place on August, 25, 2026, giving guests the opportunity to tour the production floor, quality control laboratory and distribution facilities, as well as meet members of AkzoNobel’s local and regional teams.
The new aerospace facility will provide locally blended and stocked coating solutions tailored to customers’ individual requirements, improving product availability and supporting regional growth.
AkzoNobel’s Chonburi site, located 90 minutes from Bangkok International Airport and east of Pattaya, will blend aerospace topcoats locally and provide streamlined access to primers, thinners and curing solutions, helping to reduce lead times, improve product availability and strengthen technical and commercial support for customers across the region’s growing aviation industry.
Marius Vasiliu, Regional Sales Director, AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings Asia Pacific, commented on the new Asia-Pacific facility expansion: “The new opening of our Chonburi facility is an important milestone as we look to support commercial aviation operators, MROs, OEMs, and industry partners across the region.
