Mint Turbines has been named a Pratt & Whitney Canada Designated Overhaul Facility, expanding the independent maintenance provider’s portfolio of original equipment manufacturer authorisations, the company said.
The designation allows Mint Turbines to perform Pratt & Whitney Canada-approved overhaul services for PT6A and PT6T series engines, subject to the manufacturer’s requirements for quality systems, technical capability and regulatory compliance.
The company said the authorisation will give operators access to OEM-approved overhaul services alongside its 24-hour customer support and field service capabilities.
The Pratt & Whitney Canada designation adds to Mint Turbines’ existing OEM authorisations, including those from General Electric and Ozark Aeroworks, as well as Rolls-Royce through its sister company Airborne Engines in Canada.
Mint Turbines said the authorisations broaden its ability to provide certified engine support to government, commercial and specialist aviation operators.
